KASHI

15 Dec

Kashi’s Mantra:

‘At Kashi, we dream of a world where everyone embraces natural health. We are passionate and committed to improving the health of people and our planet.

Health isn’t a destination; it’s a journey. Every little step we take creates a healthier path forward. We believe that when we eat well, we feel well, and do well for ourselves, our families, our coworkers, our communities, and the world. This philosophy builds on our deep roots in natural foods since 1984 and remains our daily guiding light.

We are constantly evaluating and improving the environmental and social aspects of our ingredient sourcing, product production, packaging, and distribution. We strive to not only minimize our impacts across our value chain, but to create positive impacts and positive change with everything we do, creating a legacy of sustainability and health.

Simply put, we strive to improve the health of people and planet every place we do business.’

My take: As a health conscious person, I have been hooked on Kashi for a while. If you are interested in eating healthier, Kashi products are an excellent option. I love their products for their nutritional value, great natural taste, and sustainability efforts. Try their products here at Kashi.com or at your local grocer.

ALABAMA VS LSU

6 Dec

Here I am tailgating at the Alabama-LSU game in Tuscaloosa earlier this season. Some people are upset about the BCS National Championship selection rematch between Alabama and LSU. This years BCS point differential between #2 Alabama and #3 Oklahoma State was the smallest in the history of the new BCS format at 0.009. With all factors considered I think the BCS made the right selection though. Alabama and LSU have played like the top 2 teams in college football all season. All other contenders for the #2 spot lost by a margin greater than the 3-point Alabama loss to LSU to teams of lesser ranking and records. But there are more questions and issues amongst fans besides the title game. I think college football fans would all like to see some type of playoff format even if it is a hybrid BCS-Playoff system. Would you like to see a playoff system? Do you think Alabama will be able to pull out the big win in the title game or will LSU be too strong?
